Pie chart showing the distribution of 60 patients with localized prostate cancer managed under active surveillance, stratified by timing of Cell Cycle Risk score testing. Thirty-seven patients (sixty-one point seven percent) underwent testing at the time of initial diagnosis, and 23 patients (thirty-eight-point three percent) underwent testing during ongoing active surveillance.

Stacked bar chart comparing patient adherence to Cell Cycle Risk score recommendations between two groups. Adherence rates differed significantly between groups (Fisher’s exact test, p equals zero point zero one five two). For patients recommended to continue active surveillance, eighty-seven-point two percent adhered to the recommendation. For patients recommended for definitive therapy, fifty-three-point eight percent adhered.

Adherence to CCR-based recommendations between recommendation groups: 41 of 47 patients (87.2%) recommended to continue AS adhered, compared to 7 of 13 patients (53.8%) recommended for definitive therapy (Fisher’s exact test, p = 0.0152; OR: 5.86, 95% CI: 1.60–21.89). A total of 195 female patients with recurrent urinary tract infections (rUTIs) were initially enrolled. According to the prophylactic regimen, 86 patients received methenamine hippurate (MH) and 109 patients received low-dose nitrofurantoin (NFT). After 1:1 propensity score matching (PSM) with a caliper of 0.2, 50 patients were included in the MH group and 50 in the NFT group for final analysis. All patients completed the 12 month followup. MH, methenamine hippurate; NFT, nitrofurantoin; PSM, propensity score matching.

This figure shows temporal trends in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) among patients undergoing nephroureterectomy for upper tract urothelial cancer in the National Inpatient Sample between 2004 and 2019. Two groups are displayed: non-insulin-dependent T2DM (orange) and insulin-dependent T2DM (red). Non-insulin-dependent T2DM was consistently more common, increasing modestly from 13.6% in 2004 to 18.0% in 2019. Insulin-dependent T2DM remained much less frequent but increased steadily from 0.1% in 2004 to 4.2% in 2019. Trend analyses demonstrated a small annual increase for non-insulin-dependent T2DM (+1.1% per year; 95% CI: 0.1%–2.1%; p = 0.045) and a substantially larger annual increase for insulin-dependent T2DM (+11.8% per year; 95% CI: 8.6%–15.6%; p <0.001).
