Abstract
The author has investigated 42 cases classified in bladder-neck disease. The diagnosis is mainly based on seried mictional urethrography. It is often difficult to appreciate the part of the bladder-neck in megaureters, vesico-ureteral reflux, vesical diverticulas. Although, the affection is considered as unusual, a careful study of the whole urinary tract is necessary. The mild cases will be controlled from time to time. The severe forms with renal lack of function, may ask for a temporary or permanent urinary diversion. The cases of middle severity will be cured by Y–V operation which give excellent results. The associated vesical diverticulas will be removed in the same operation. The treatment of megaureters and associated reflux is not well codified yet; it changes in each child. The risks of sterility after Y–V operation must limit this operation only to children really affected by the Marion disease.
