Abstract
In recent experiments I have demonstrated the significance of the chemical milieu for the development of tuberculosis in the testis and epididymis of the rat. It is too early to assess how far my experimental results will influence our present views. Theoretical considerations make such a possibility likely. A review of the literature on urogenital tuberculosis shows that the great majority of the opinions expressed is based on unsatisfactory material. A further study of earliest haematogenous cases on a broad basis and experimental work on the lines indicated seem desirable.
