Abstract
In patients with various genitourinary neoplasms, except in those with untreated bladder carcinoma, changes of SLDH and SLDH-V fraction levels owing to hyperglycemic conditions were statistically not significant to the pretreatment levels. In patients with untreated bladder carcinoma, the levels after 48 h were statistically significantly lower than the pretreatment levels. However, these decreases disappeared after radical treatment. In patients having abnormally high pretreatment levels, the frequency of cases which decreased to more than 20% of their pretreatment levels was 47% for SLDH and 60% for SLDH-V. This test was useful not only as a diagnostic tool, but also as a means of predicting therapeutic results.
