Anhand von 69 Krankenbeobachtungen wird der Wert der Nierenszintigraphie als Routineuntersuchungsverfahren für Initialdiagnose und Verlaufskontrolle der Urogenitaltuberkulose geprüft und bestätigt. Der Vergleich von Aussagewert, Gefahren und Genauigkeit der Befunde lässt feststellen, dass Nierenszintigraphie und Ausscheidungsurographie sich nicht ausschliessen, sondern sich gegenseitig vervollständigen. Werden die jedem Verfahren eigenen Indikationen streng eingehalten und die gelieferten Befunde logisch ausgewertet, kommt es zu einer quantitativen und qualitativen Verbesserung der Diagnostik sowie auch der Überwachung der internístisch und chirurgisch behandelten UGT-Kranken.
